Article 528

(1) Directorate General of Immigration is an implementing element which is under and responsible to the Minister of Law and Human Rights.

(2) Directorate General of Immigration is led by a Director General.

Article 529

The Directorate General of Immigration has the duties of formulating and implementing policy and technical standardization in immigration field.

Article 530

To perform the duties as referred to in Article 529, the Directorate General of Immigration performs the following functions of:

a. formulation of policies in immigration field;
b. implementation of policies in immigration field;
c. implementation of policies in immigration field;
d. providing technical guidance and evaluation in immigration field ; and
e. implementing administration of the Directorate General of Immigration.

Article 531

Directorate General of Immigration consist of: 

a. Secretariat of the Directorate General of Immigration;

b. Directorate of Immigration Mobility;

c. Directorate of Immigration Stay Permit;

e. Directorate of Immigration Control and Compliance;

f. Directorate of Immigration Cooperation; and

Part Three

Secretariat of the Directorate General of Immigration

Article 532

Secretariat of the Directorate General of Immigration has the duties of providing technical and administrative services to all organization units within the Directorate General of Imigration.

Article 533

To perform the duties as referred to in Article 532, the Secretariat of the Directorate General of Immigration performs the following function of :

a. Implementing coordination and formulation of planning, program and budgeting;

b. Managing human resources matters;

c. Managing finance matters;

d. Managing state property and internal affairs;

e. Implementing evaluation and preparing reports of the Directorate General of Immigration; and

f.Implementing public relations and administration matters of the Directorate General of Immigration.

Part Four

Directorate of Immigration Mobility

Article 555

Directorate of Immigration Mobility has the duties of implementing formulation and implementation of policy, providing trainings and evaluation in the field of travel document services, visa, and immigration facilities, in accordance with the technical policies stipulated by the Director General of Immigration.

Article 556

To perform the duties as referred to in Article 555, the Directorate of Immigration Mobility performs the following functions of:

a. preparing the formulation of policy draft in the field of travel document, visa, and immigration facilities;

b. implementing coaching, guidance and services in the field of travel document, visa and immigration facilities;

c. preparing the formulation of norms, standard, procedure and criteria in the field of travel document, visa and immigration facilities;

d. preparing the formulation and coordination of technical policies in the field of travel document and the travel document for Indonesian migrant worker, visa, entry permit, exit permit and immigration checkpoint, as well as immigration facilities;

e. implementing coaching, control and training in the field of travel document and the travel document for Indonesian migrant worker, visa, entry permit, exit permit and immigration checkpoint, as well as immigration facilities;

f. implementing policy in the field of travel document and the travel document for Indonesian migrant worker, visa, entry permit, exit permit and immigration checkpoint, as well as immigration facilities; and

g. implementing policy in the field of travel document and the travel document for Indonesian migrant worker, visa, entry permit, exit permit and immigration checkpoint, as well as immigration facilities.

To perform duties as referred to in Article 579, the Directorate of Immigration Stay Permit performs the following functions of:

a. preparing the formulation of policy draft in the field of stay permit, immigration status convertion and analyzing immigration status and citizenship;

b. implementing coaching, guidance and services in the field of stay permit, immigration status conversion, and analyzing immigration status and citizenship;

c. preparing formulation of norm, standard, procedure, and criteria in the field of immigration stay permit, immigration status conversion and analyzing immigration status and citizenship;

d. implementing technical policy in the field of immigration stay permit, immigration status conversion and analyzing immigration status and citizenship; and

e. implementing administration and internal  affairs, as well as evaluation and preparation of report of the Directorate of Immigration Stay Permit.

Article 595

Directorate of Immigration Intelligence has the duties of implementing formulation and implementation of policy, providing trainings and evaluation in the field of immigration intelligence, in accordance with the technical policies stipulated by the Director General of Immigration.

To perform duties as referred to in Article 595, the Directorate of Immigration Intelligence performs the following functions of:

a. preparing the formulation of policy draft in the field of immigration intelligence;

b. implementing coaching, guidance and services in the field of immigration intelligence;

c. preparing formulation of norm, standard, procedure, and criteria in the field of immigration intelligence;

d. formulating and coordinating policy in the field of immigration intelligence operation, immigration security, immigration intelligence production and immigration intelligence cooperation;

e. coaching, managing and training in the field of immigration intelligence operation, immigration security, immigration intelligence production and immigration intelligence cooperation;

f. implementing technical policy in the field of immigration intelligence operation, immigration security, immigration intelligence production and immigration intelligence cooperation; and

g. implementing administration and internal affairs, as well as evaluation and preparation of report of the Directorate of Immigration Intelligence.

Article 615

To perform duties as referred to in Article 615, the Directorate of Immigration Control and Compliance performs the following functions of:

b. implementing coaching, guidance and services in the field of immigration control and compliance;

c.preparing formulation of norm, standard, procedure, and criteria in the field of immigration control and compliance;

d. formulating and coordinating policy in the field of immigration control and compliance, prohibited exit and prohibited entry, as well as immigration detention and deportation;

e. coaching and training in the field of immigration control and compliance, prohibited exit and prohibited entry, as well as immigration detention and deportation;

f. implementing policy in the field of immigration control and compliance, prohibited exit and prohibited entry, as well as immigration detention and deportation; and

g. implementing administration and internal affairs, as well as evaluation and preparation of report of the Directorate of Immigration Control and Compliance.

To perform duties as referred to in Article 635, the Directorate of Immigration Cooperation performs the following functions of:

a. preparing the formulation of policy in the field of immigration cooperation;

b. implementing coaching, guidance and services in the field of immigration cooperation;

c. preparing formulation of norm, standard, procedure, and criteria in the field of immigration cooperation;

d. formulating and coordinating immigration policy in the field of interagency cooperation, cooperation with international organizations, interstate cooperation, and cooperation with foreign representative offices;

e. immigration coaching, managing and training in the field of interagency cooperation, cooperation with international organizations, interstate cooperation, and cooperation with foreign representative offices;

f. implementing immigration cooperation in the field of interagency cooperation, cooperation with international organizations, interstate cooperation, and cooperation with foreign representative offices;

g. implementing dissemination of immigration cooperation results in the field of interagency cooperation, cooperation with international organizations, interstate cooperation, and cooperation with foreign representative offices; and

h. implementing dissemination of immigration cooperation results in the field of interagency cooperation, cooperation with international organizations, interstate cooperation, and cooperation with foreign representative offices.

Article 655

Directorate of Immigration System and Information Technology has the duties of implementing formulation and implementation of policy, providing trainings and evaluation in the field of immigration system and information technology, in accordance with the technical policies stipulated by the Director General of Immigration.

To perform duties as referred to in Article 655, the Directorate of Immigration System and Information Technology performs the following functions of:

a. preparing the formulation of policy in the field of immigration system and information technology;

b. implementing coaching, guidance and services in the field of immigration system and information technology;

c. preparing formulation of norm, standard, procedure, and criteria in the field of immigration system and information technology;

d. implementing planning and security of information technology and improvement of immigration information technology expertise;

e. formulating statistical report and immigration data, as well as managing the immigration system and information technology;

f. implementing cooperation in the field of immigration system and information technology, as well as disseminating immigration information;

g. implementing registration, distribution, and control over the quality and format of the immigration documents and electronic cards; and

h. implementing administration and internal affairs, as well as evaluation and preparation of report of the Directorate of Immigration System and Information Technology.
