Border-Crossing Travel Document or Border-Crossing Card

  1. A border-crossing travel document or border-crossing card may be granted to Indonesian citizens residing in the border areas between the Republic of Indonesia and other countries in accordance with border crossing agreements.
  2. Application for a border-crossing travel document or border-crossing card is submitted to the Minister or a designated Immigration Officer with requirements:
    1. enclosing completed application for border-crossing card that has been authorized by the local Head of Village or by another name;
    2. enclosing Identity Card that is issued by Official and authorized institution;
    3. enclosing 2 (two) pieces of photographs with 3x4 cm sized and red background; and
    4. he/she is not on the prohibited exit list.
  1. A border-crossing travel document or border-crossing card lasts no longer than 3 (three) years from the date of issuance;
  2. A border-crossing travel document or border-crossing card as referred to in point 3 cannot be extended;
  3. The person who holds border-crossing travel document or border-crossing card whose validity period has expired may submit an application letter for a new border-crossing travel document or border-crossing card.
