Get ready, Warriors! There are 1200 Quotas for the Batch Seven of SDUWHV!

JAKARTA – Next Monday (20/11/2023), the 7th batch of SDUWHV (applications for Letters of Support for the Australian Work and Holiday Visa) 2023 will reopen registration for 1200 quotas. The registration process is carried out online via whv.imigration.go.id, while the SDUWHV document is issued electronically.

Director of Immigration Cooperation of DGI, Anggiat Napitupulu, explained on Wednesday (15/11/2023) that like the previous batch, selection and verification of required documents was carried out without interviewing the candidates.

“No interviews. However, it should be noted that there are slight differences in the provisions of the required documents compared to the previous batch, so applicants need to pay attention to," explained Anggiat.

The differences in these provisions include:

• The bank/savings certificate must be in the applicant’s name, not in the name of their parents or someone else. It must be issued within a maximum of 3 months before the registration date;
• Requirement documents do not need to be translated, except for the Certificate of Study in languages other than Indonesian and English, for students who are studying abroad;
• The transcript document must be authenticated by the campus competent authority;

People who wish to apply for SDUWHV Australia must meet the following general criteria:

1. Aged 18 to 30 years;
2. Have the required educational graduate qualifications;
3. Have never participated in a work and holiday program before;
4. Have proof of identity, citizenship and residence;
5. Have evidence of the lowest English language proficiency at a functional level;
6. Have proof of active funds (not frozen) to cover their needs during the initial stay in Australia;
7. Be healthy and have good behavior; and
8. Not being subject to immigration prevention measures

Apart from that, applicants are also required to complete the required documents, including:

1.     Latest photo

• • File format: jpeg
  • White background

2.     Electronic Identity Card (KTP) or a valid temporary document prior to e-ID issuance
3.     Passport with a validity period of at least 18 months
4.     English Language Proficiency Certificate at functional level, issued by an authorized institution setingkat fungsional, dikeluarkan oleh lembaga yang berwenang

"It should be noted that the requirements for proof of English language skills are assessed based on the average score of all test components, not based on the score per component (reading, writing, listening, speaking). If you use an IELTS certificate, the minimum score is 4.5," explained Anggiat.

Apart from IELTS, English language proficiency certificates that can be used to register for SDUWHV are as follows:

• • Test of English Foreign Language Internet-Based (TOEFL iBT) with an overall score of 32 based on four test components, namely speaking, reading, writing and listening. The TOEFL accepted is the TOEFL taken before July 26, 2023.
  • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with an overall score of 30 based on four test components, namely speaking, reading, writing and listening.
  • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) with an overall score of 147 based on four test components namely speaking, reading, writing and listening

5.     Police Record Certificate (SKCK):

• • Issued at least at the Regional Police level

6.     Proof of Educational Qualification:

• • Education Certificate (for applicants graduated with Bachelor or Diploma III level)
  • Certificate of Degree Equalization (for graduates studied abroad)
  • Certificate, Study Results Certificate, and Student Identification Card (for active students who have studied for at least 2 years) which must be legalized by the campus competent authority (legalization can be in the form of a wet signature or electronic signature)

7.     Proof of Fund Ownership:

• • Minimum AUD 5,000 or equivalent, active and not frozen
  • In the form of a bank statement regarding ownership of funds (in the applicant’s name)

8.     Statement of Validity of Required Documents:

• • Affixed with 10,000 stamp duty

Additional information:

• Photo file format: jpeg
• Other document file formats: PDF
• Required document file size: 60 kb – 300 kb
• A bank statement is issued a maximum of 3 months before the registration date
• Required documents other than those in Indonesian or English must be translated into Indonesian
